Led by one of the Washington/Baltimore area’s most accomplished woodwind specialists, The Seth Kibel Quintet performs classic swing and jazz suitable for wining and dining, as well as dancing and romancing. Featuring Kibel on clarinet, saxophone, and flute, accompanied by vibraphone, piano, double bass, and drums, this nimble combo mines the great American songbooks of composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Duke Ellington, and more. On his primary instrument of clarinet, Kibel channels the sublime artistry of past swing masters such as Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw. Kibel has won a total of 11 Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies), including “Best Jazz Instrumentalist.”
